Our Story
The first CalmiZone mask was made because the ones we owned kept slipping, letting in light at the edges, or pressing on our eyelids until we woke up with a mark on our face.
We went looking for the material and the cut first, not the brand. Grade 6A mulberry silk, the highest common grade, at 22 momme, which is heavy enough to block light but still soft enough to sleep on. A contoured shape instead of a flat one, so it holds its distance from the eye through a full night.
It took several rounds of sampling to get the eye cups right. The strap took two more.
Once the mask itself worked, the rest followed: a matching silk pouch, four colourways instead of one, packaging that didn't need to shout to be noticed.
That's still how new ideas at CalmiZone get tested. Not by whether they'd make a good ad, but by whether we'd actually use them at eleven at night.
